Meet Kenny
Karate has been a constant thread throughout Kenny’s international life. Having lived in Australia, Shanghai, and Hawaii, he understands the value of connecting across languages and cultures.
His competitive achievements include a national championship title in Japan in 1997 and Australian national championship titles in 1999 and 2001. He holds 7th dan in both Shorin-ryu and Shito-ryu.
Today, Kenny brings these experiences to his work in Okinawa, helping visitors build a deeper connection with karate and its birthplace.
A Personal Connection to Okinawan Karate
For Kenny, a visit to Okinawa is an opportunity to learn, exchange ideas, and build relationships through karate.
Through Ageshio Japan, he helps connect visitors with local instructors, dojo training, and Okinawa’s karate heritage. Whether you are discovering karate for the first time or continuing years of practice, share your interests and experience so we can help you explore the possibilities.
